The Houston Dynamo were impressive as a whole in their 5-0 demolition of FC Dallas on Saturday, but midfielder Andrew Wenger and defender DaMarcus Beasley were recognized individually with spots in the MLSsoccer.com Team of the Week for Week 2.

Wenger led the team with a goal and two assists in the opening half hour of the Texas Derby, adding onto what was already an impressive debut in the season opener against the New England Revolution. First, he provided a pinpoint cross to the head of David Horst for the opening goal in the sixth minute of play, then cut back a pass across the box for Ricardo Clark's AT&T MLS Goal of the Week nominee. He capped the first half barrage with his own goal in the 27th minute, running into the box after tidy combination play between himself, Boniek García, and Cristian Maidana and getting a fortunate deflection before slipping a shot past Jesse Gonzalez.

The performance also earned him a Player of the Week and Team of the Week nod from Goal USA, as well an Attacking Player of the Week from Sports Illustrated and the adulation of his teammates.

DaMarcus Beasley helped lead the Dynamo defense to its first clean sheet of the year while shutting down the right side of Dallas' attack, with four tackles, two interceptions, and four clearances. Beasley was also named to Goal USA's Team of the Week.

Midfielder Ricardo Clark was named to MLSsoccer.com's bench, and defender David Horst was an alternate in Goal USA's team.
