The Houston Dynamo defeated C.D. Aguila 4-0 on Saturday in the second annual Dynamo Charities Cup at Robertson Stadium.
Head coach Dominic Kinnear used the opportunity to give some of his younger players, as well as the three trialists, more playing time. After the game, Kinnear said he was happy with the way his team unselfishly performed on the field. Be sure to check out photos from Saturday’s match. There were many positives from the match, including another clean sheet from backup goalkeeper Tally Hall.
Geoff Cameron said the pain he endured when the Celtics lost to the Lakers was not as bad as when he injured his knee. After taking the field today for the first time in two months, Cameron feels optimistic about returning to the Dynamo in August.
For his efforts with the ‘Bald is Beautiful’ campaign, Dynamo defender Craig Waibel was honored as the MLS W.O.R.K.S. Humanitarian of the Month. Waibel offers his two cents on the U.S.-Slovenia game in his latest World Cup blog for the Houston Chronicle.
