The Houston Dynamo and Dynamo Charities announced today their third-annual Bobby Boots Breast Cancer initiative, benefitting the Methodist Cancer Center.

The campaign, led by veteran Dynamo defender Bobby Boswell, is a partnership between Dynamo Charities and MLS W.O.R.K.S. to raise funds and awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The main event for this initiative will be held when the Houston Dynamo host the Montreal Impact on Saturday, Oct. 6 at BBVA Compass Stadium.

“Breast cancer is a terrible disease that affects the women that are important to all of us,” Boswell said. “I’ve had the opportunity of meeting many great people through this great cause. We will continue to try to raise awareness, because increased awareness helps save lives.”

A special Bobby Boots Breast Cancer ticket package is available for the game and will benefit the Methodist Cancer Center. The $50 ticket package includes: Two tickets to the Dynamo game on Oct. 6, two pink Dynamo t-shirts, a $10 donation to the Methodist Cancer Center and a post-game meet and greet with Boswell.

“We push the boundaries every day to help our breast cancer patients and to find new treatment options. We’re grateful to the Houston Dynamo for their support,” said Dr. Jenny C. Chang, director of the Methodist Cancer Center.

This initiative also includes a Name in Lights campaign. For a $25 donation, fans will be able to honor a victim or survivor of breast cancer with their name displayed on the BBVA Compass Stadium LED board during the game. The message will also be read over the stadium PA system and will be displayed at www.HoustonDynamo.com/charities. All donors will receive a pink wristband.
