Houston Dynamo forward Mauro Manotas and defender Alejandro Fuenmayor capped their season with an appearance on the MLS Team of the Week for Week 35, presented by Audi.
Manotas scored the tying and game-winning goals for the Dynamo in their come-from-behind 3-2 win over the LA Galaxy on Decision Day. The 23-year-old converted a penalty attempt in the 73rd minute, then surged forward to put away a low cross six minutes later. The goals were Manotas' 18th and 19th of the regular season, tied for 4th-most in MLS this year. This is the first Team of the Week appearance for Manotas after three selections to the bench.
Fuenmayor helped contain the Galaxy attack after two first half goals. The 22-year-old Venezuelan tallied two tackles, four interceptions, four recoveries, and nine clearances to go with 20/25 completed passes. This is the second Team of the Week selection for Fuenmayor.
Forward Romell Quioto also earned a place on the Team of the Week bench for the second time this season after sparking the comeback on Sunday with his 57th minute goal.
