Teams across MLS unveiled their limited edition adidas x Parley For the Oceans jerseys Thursday morning, which will be worn by teams on Earth Day weekend as part of MLS WORKS' Greener Goals Week.
The Houston Dynamo will wear their eco-friendly kit for their April 19 match at the LA Galaxy. Very limited quantities of the jersey are available online, and more will be available beginning Friday, April 12 at noon at the adidas Dynamo Team Store. In addition, Dynamo Charities will hold an auction for game-worn Parley jerseys.
Dynamo players Mauro Manotas, Kiki Struna and Adam Lundkvist modeled the dark blue jerseys, made of recycled ocean plastics at Allen's Landing in Downtown Houston. Allen's Landing is the birthplace of the City of Houston, at the confluence of Buffalo Bayou and White Oak Bayou. It is because of these bayous and their fellow creeks across our region that Houston has been dubbed "The Bayou City", and efforts from organizations such as Parley For the Oceans, the Buffalo Bayou Partnership and the Houston Parks Board help keep those waterways clean and clear for the benefit of all.
