On Monday afternoon, Houston Dynamo goalkeeper Tyler Deric took a moment of his preparations for Opening Day to brighten the day of a young fan.
Alec Corzo, a soccer player and junior at Memorial High School, got a visit from Deric after his first chemotherapy treatment for lymphoma on Monday. Deric presented Corzo with a personalized Dynamo jersey and stuck around to play some FIFA 17 while Alec recovered.
