Dynamo striker Will Bruin was named to the MLS Team of the Week for Matchday 7. The second-year forward recorded a goal and an assist in Saturday's 2-2 draw against the Columbus Crew.
Bruin opened the scoring in the 58th minute when he headed home an Adam Moffat corner kick to give the Dynamo a 1-0 lead. After Columbus scored two goals to take a 2-1 lead, Bruin found Brian Ching in the box for an 81st-minute equalizer.
The Team of the Week honor is the first for Bruin in 2012, but his third overall. He was named to the MLS Team of the Week for Matchdays 4 and 7 during his rookie campaign.
