Houston Dynamo 2 and MLS NEXT Pro announces 2025 regular season schedule

HOUSTON (Jan. 27, 2025) – MLS NEXT Pro announced today this year’s full 28-game regular season schedule for Houston Dynamo 2.

Houston fans can claim free tickets to every Dynamo Dos home match at SaberCats Stadium via SeatGeek. All MLS NEXT Pro match broadcasts will be split between MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and MLSNEXTPro.com.

The team looks to build on a 2024 campaign that saw 14 Dynamo Academy players earn valuable minutes, with players born in 2007, 2008 and 2009 recording more minutes (6,828) than any team in MLS NEXT Pro, while qualifying for the postseason for the third consecutive year.

Dynamo 2 kicks off their fourth regular season under new head coach Marcelo Santos with five homes matches in their first six games. The slate begins with Sporting Kansas City II on Saturday, March 8 on Opening Weekend and is followed by in-state rivals North Texas SC on Thursday, March 20, the first of three matchups this season. The last time the two sides met in Houston, Dynamo 2 earned a 4-1 win behind a three-assist performance from Dynamo Academy product and captain Diego Gonzalez. Dynamo Dos will close March at home versus Minnesota United FC 2 on March 30, followed by visits from LAFC 2 on April 6 and Tacoma Defiance on April 15.

Dynamo Dos will host Austin FC II on April 27 for the first of three matchups this season. Last season, Dynamo 2 earned a 2-0 victory versus Austin at Shell Energy Stadium on July 11 with goals from Dynamo 2 graduate Femi Awodesu and forward David Garcia.

Dynamo 2 will hit a four-game road trip, their longest of the year, in early June, beginning with Minnesota United 2 on June 12. The teams met three times last season in which Houston claimed all nine points, including two victories in one week on August 21 (4-1) and August 25 (3-1) at SaberCats Stadium. Houston continues the road trip with matches versus Real Monarchs on June 15, St. Louis CITY 2 on June 29 and Colorado Rapids 2 on July 6.

The Town FC will visit Houston on August 22 for a rematch of last season’s MLS NEXT Pro Conference Quarterfinals, where Dynamo 2 fell 2-1 on the road.

Dynamo 2 will host Portland Timbers2 on September 21 at SaberCats Stadium in their regular season home finale, before traveling to the Pacific Northwest to close the regular season on Decision Day versus Tacoma on October 5.
